By accessing or using Trailflow.io (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Age Requirements

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years old in the United States and 16 years old in the rest of the world.

  • Minors: If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the Service.
  • Strava Defaults: Please note that if you are under 18, Strava’s default privacy settings may prevent your activities from appearing on public leaderboards. Trailflow.io respects these defaults and will not bypass them.

3. Description of Service

Trailflow.io functions as an aggregator for trail running community data. The Service provides leaderboards for specific athletic segments by connecting with your Strava account. Additionally, the Service publishes informational content regarding trail running routes, races, and event details.

4. Content Disclaimer (No Warranty)

The trail running and racing information provided on Trailflow.io is for general informational purposes only.

  • Accuracy: While we strive to keep information current, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any route descriptions, race dates, GPX files, or trail conditions.
  • Changing Conditions: Trail conditions, access rights, and race schedules change frequently due to weather, maintenance, or organizer decisions. You are solely responsible for verifying this information with official sources (e.g., race directors, land managers) before heading out.
  • No Reliance: You agree not to rely solely on the Service for navigation or safety decisions.

5. Third-Party Links & Online Venue Disclaimer

Trailflow.io acts only as an online venue and aggregator. We are not a party to any agreement between you and any race organizer, event director, or other third party.

  • External Links: The Service contains links to third-party websites (e.g., race registration sites, Strava). If you decide to access these, you do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of these external sites.
  • No Liability: You agree that Trailflow.io shall have no liability arising from your participation in any third-party event or your use of any third-party website linked from our Service.

6. Strava Integration & API Agreement

The Service relies on the Strava Application Programming Interface (API).

  • Bound by Strava: You acknowledge that Trailflow.io is bound by the terms of the Strava API Agreement. If Strava changes its API terms or discontinues service, Trailflow.io may be modified or terminated without notice.
  • Not Affiliated: We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Strava, Inc.
  • Your Agreement: You agree that your use of Strava is governed by Strava’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

7. Assumption of Risk & Safety

You acknowledge that the activities associated with this Service (e.g., cycling, running, hiking) involve inherent risks of physical injury or death.

  • Voluntary Participation: You participate in activities, segments, and routes described on the Service entirely at your own risk. Trailflow.io functions solely as a data aggregator and does not organize or sanction physical events.
  • Compliance with Laws: You agree to obey all traffic laws, land access rules, and regulations while attempting segments or routes.
  • No Incitement: The existence of a leaderboard or route description is not an inducement to take risks, trespass, break laws, or compromise safety.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trailflow.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

  • Physical injury or death resulting from your athletic activities or reliance on site content.
  • Loss of data or usage of the Service due to Strava API outages or changes.
  • Any errors or omissions in the content provided.

9. User Conduct & Anti-Scraping

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Scraping: Use any robot, spider, scraper, script, or other automated means or interface not provided by us to access the Service or extract data (including trail data, race info, or user leaderboards) for any purpose without our express written permission.
  • Manipulation: Manipulate data or upload fraudulent activity files (e.g., “digital doping”).
  • Harassment: Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
  • Reverse Engineering: Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
